We had a busy Easter weekend, but it didn't seem rushed. We drove down Thursday after Matthew got off work. We got to Jim and Jean's house after 10 and let the boys stay up and stretch their legs for a while before putting them to bed. Robbie did not go down easy, but looking back, we think we didn't give him a chance to wind down.
Friday we went to the Florida Aquarium. Robbie had so much fun looking at all of the fish, but wasn't into the touch tanks they had. I tried to pet the sting rays. There was also another touch tank with starfish and sea urchins. That tank was cold! Robbie stayed with Aunt Brittany most of the time and Alex was pushed around in his stroller by Jim. Robbie got to be a big boy and get his own lunch rather than sharing with us and he ate it up! Matt and I are looking forward to taking the boys back again.

Alligator
A big fish!
I know it's blurry, but you can see how much he is enjoying himself.
I don't know what they are looking at, but it's a sweet picture.

Watching fish.
After taking a nap at Jim and Jean's house, Robbie was given his Easter basket. He loves the bubbles and he's starting to use his new crayons.
Getting his Easter basket from Grandpa and GiGi.
Spill-proof bubbles.
Bubbles!!
If you listen carefully in the previous video, Matthew tells Robbie to blow like he blows on his food. Apparently Robbie only heard "food".
After dinner we headed to my parent's house. My aunt found out we were there and stopped by for a visit. It's a joke between us that whenever we come into town, she and my uncle leave town, so it's nice that they were in town and we were able to see her.
We split up Saturday morning with Matthew and Robbie heading to visit with his mom and I stayed with my parents. After getting Robbie worn out at the park, Matthew came back to pick us up to go to lunch. When we were nice and full we visited my grandmother. She had a brief stay in the hospital after a dizzy spell (luckily they didn't find anything wrong) and was discharged while we were still visiting. Unfortunately she still had to wait around for them to fill out all of the paperwork so she could actually leave and she made it perfectly clear that she was ready to go home!!
We went to church with my parents Sunday morning. Robbie was ready and willing to go off with the head of the children's ministry, so that made for an easy drop off. Alex went in to service with us, though Matt had to take him out a couple of times to get his fussies out.
Jonathan, Chat and the kids came to my parent's house for lunch. Mom hid Easter eggs in the yard before they arrived and after lunch the kids went and looked for them. Mia and Nathan had a great time and I think even Robbie started to get into it after picking up the first couple of eggs. Mia and Nathan wanted to help Robbie and put his eggs in his basket. They also wanted to help him eat his candy! Luckily Robbie's eggs were mostly filled with bubbles. I love watching the cousins play together. Mia and Nathan were both surprised to see Robbie walking around because the last time they saw him (back in November) he was still getting the hang of it. They are so sweet and I wish we were able to see them more often.
Quiet time with the boys.
Finding Easter eggs at Grandma and Abuelo's house.
Checking out their loot.
Abuelo, Grandma and the boys. (This was Robbie's first time using that cup and he did not want to let it go!)
Grandma and the boys.
Sorry Abuelo, but Robbie had enough of taking pictures!
Abuelo and Alex
Robbie has started spinning in circles and getting himself dizzy.
He got himself a little too dizzy this time!
We had dinner at Mimi and Gramps' house with that side of Matthew's family. We were lucky it worked out that dinner was a better option for them because my family does Easter lunch. Matthew's cousin, Kim, got engaged the day before, so she was able to share the good news with everyone that evening.
A big Alex smile while sitting with Mimi.
We headed back home around 7:30. Both of the boys slept on the way home and Robbie went from the car to his bed pretty easily when we got home.
