Mother's Morning Out

Last week was Robbie's last week of Mother's Morning Out.  I'm sad for him because I know he'll miss seeing his friends.  He really enjoyed going and I loved hearing all about his day.  Sometimes he would start singing a song from school.  I asked him if he sang at school and he would say that he was too shy.  It's hard to imagine Robbie being shy, though I know when he first goes into a situation he can be shy.  Robbie is already looking forward to preschool next year and I hope Alex enjoys Mother's Morning Out next year.

Robbie's first day of MMO

Robbie's last day

He's such a cutie!

Each week the kids learned a letter and there was a color and shape for each month.

The last day of school Robbie came home with a folder with each letter that he decorated...except maybe the "O", that looks a little too neat for him! :)

The poem says:
Now I know my ABCs
Colors, shapes and days of the week
I sang some songs and poems, too
I made crafts with paint and glue
I played outside the sunny day
When it rained inside we'd stay.
My day was filled with fun and games
Ms. Stacie and Ms. Amanda were my teachers' names
I sure kept them on my toes
They tied my shoes, combed my hair and even wiped my nose.
School is over, summer's here, it's time for us to part.
But I will remember all my friends and keep them in my heart!

I filled out this information sheet at the beginning of the year.  We knew I was pregnant but we still weren't telling anyone.

"D" was for Daddy.  Matthew got to go in one morning and they made the donut (which used to have a lot more "sprinkles") and ate donuts.  Apparently Robbie got his fair share that day! :)  Isn't this a great picture!

"M" was for Mommy.  After looking at the cute Donuts with Dad picture for months I was looking forward to my cute Muffins with Mommy picture.  Unfortunately Robbie wasn't feeling very photogenic that day.

The teachers got Robbie's handprint at the beginning of the year and made a "handy work" magnet.  They did it again when they got to "X" for x-ray.  I don't know if you can tell, but there is a difference.
